During the IPL 2024 clash between Kolkata Knight Riders and Punjab Kings, Jonny Bairstow unleashed two gigantic sixes off Andre Russell’s bowling. At the iconic Eden Gardens on April 26, the English batsman displayed his power-hitting prowess.
The right-handed Jonny Bairstow first dispatched a length delivery with immense force towards deep backward square leg. Undeterred, he then launched a shorter ball into the crowd, the trajectory matching the previous maximum. Prior to Jonny Bairstow’s heroics, Rilee Rossouw had also cleared the ropes with a six towards deep mid-wicket.
The 12th over provided 24 runs, including three sixes, as Punjab completed a mammoth chase of 262 against the Knight Riders with eight deliveries remaining.
