Jasprit Bumrah, Team India’s speed spearhead, recently remarked on how people’s perceptions have changed from a year ago, when many believed injuries would ruin his career. The right-arm speedster stated his entire emphasis is on performing to the best of his ability.
The Ahmedabad-born cricketer was named Player of the Match after playing a key part in the T20 World Cup 2024 triumph against Pakistan in New York on Sunday, June 9. He concluded with figures of 4-0-14-3 as the Men in Blue won by six runs after defending 120 overs.
In a post-match press conference, Jasprit Bumrah stated that he tries to ‘manage the controllables’ and’stick to the procedures’.
The 30-year-old’s second period against Pakistan proved pivotal, as he removed the established Mohammad Rizwan and the threatening Iftikhar Ahmed. He was also named Player of the Match after India defeated Ireland by eight wickets in their first game.
