On Saturday, February 3, during the second day of the second Test between India and England in Vizag, Jasprit Bumrah demonstrated impressive skill with the ball. The remarkable bowler knocked out Jonny Bairstow, sending him back. In the process, England encountered loss, giving up five wickets for 159.
Let’s take a closer look at Bairstow’s turn. It happened during the 36th over of England’s secondary innings. Bumrah tossed a longer ball. Bairstow, a right-handed player, attempted to swing it away, but the ball didn’t cooperate. Instead, it went off on its own path. Shubman Gill, positioned at the first slip, caught the ball as it strayed. This sequence totaled up to Bairstow’s fourth time losing his wicket to Bumrah in Test cricket.
Watch the dismissal below:
Bumrah had already removed Joe Root before unleashing a stunning yorker that brought back in-form Ollie Pope, who had scored 196 in the first Test in Hyderabad. The speedster had earlier taken six wickets in the first Test on a spin-friendly ground.
