Fraser-McGurk has dazzled in IPL 2024, delivering a couple of explosive performances so far. On Saturday, he unleashed an astonishing onslaught against the five-time IPL champions, smashing a ferocious 84 runs off just 27 deliveries.
Opening the batting, he smashed six sixes and 11 fours, punishing all MI bowlers, including the legendary Jasprit Bumrah. His brilliant knock gave an excellent framework for DC to post a huge first innings total of 257. Delhi’s bowlers then restricted MI to 247/9, allowing the hosts to win by nine runs.

After DC defeated MI, Jake Fraser-McGurk was named Player of the Match for his outstanding performance in the first innings. Jake remarked on his performance during the post-match presentation, saying:
“I was pretty nervous facing Jasprit Bumrah today, but I stayed confident while batting against him and got those two boundaries in. I liked the six, of course! But it was great to get tested by the best.”
