Mumbai Indians’ (MI) batsman Ishan Kishan shared a fun time with the team’s bowling mentor Lasith Malinga. This happened during their practice session before IPL 2024 starts. Most players had already joined MI’s camp in Mumbai to get ready for the new season.
The Mumbai team provided their followers a look into their camp by posting a video on their official X feed. In a video, Ishan Kishan is seen donning a wig that resembles Malinga’s haircut and bowling with a slinging movement in front of him.

Lasith Malinga has returned to Michigan as a bowling coach this season, taking over for Shane Bond. He previously worked for the Rajasthan Royals (RR) in a similar capacity.
Ishan Kishan has been out of play since December of last year, when he sought a sabbatical during the South Africa trip, claiming mental tiredness.
He has not been available for any international or domestic matches since then. The BCCI recently withdrew him from the central contractual players list as a result of his failure to play in the Ranji Trophy when fit and away from national cricket responsibilities. Shreyas Iyer was also left off the central contract list for the same reason.

Wriddhiman Saha, senior wicketkeeper, has commented in on the argument regarding players not competing in local competitions and instead preferring the IPL. As reported by the Times of India, Wriddhiman Saha stated:
