Mohammed Siraj stirred things up using the new ball. India dismissed South Africa with just 55 runs during their initial innings. This was during the second Test in Cape Town on a Wednesday.
Indian bowlers faced harsh criticism following their poor performance in the opening Test match. They recovered well, bowling out the Proteas for 55, their lowest total in red-ball cricket since being readmitted.
Mohammed Siraj, with figures of 6/15 from nine overs, including three maidens, single-handedly destroyed the hosts. His spell featured precision, seam, and swing, making it one of the greatest in recent memory. Since making his red-ball cricket debut against Australia in 2020, it was also his greatest performance to date.
Lots of people were thrilled to watch Mohammed Siraj really heat up the exciting Newlands game. Several past players like Sachin Tendulkar and Suresh Raina also spoke highly of this bowler from Hyderabad.

Dean Elgar captain of South Africa, decided to bat first after winning the toss in Cape Town. However, this choice didn’t go as planned. Indian bowlers, with their fiery performance, took over within the morning segment. Out of eleven players, only a pair made it past the initial ten runs.
In the fourth over, Mohammed Siraj got the upper hand by removing Aiden Markram and eventually defeated captain Elgar. Tristan Stubbs was removed by Jasprit Bumrah in order to make the hosts at 11/3. Overall, Siraj emerged victorious, finishing the five-wicket haul in record time.
The final touches were applied by Mukesh Kumar, who removed Keshav Maharaj and Kagiso Rabada before Bumrah returned to defeat Nandre Burger. With only 55 runs in 23.2 overs, South Africa was completely outmatched by India for the remainder of the match.
