Several exciting occurrences occurred during Arshdeep Singh’s final over during India’s fifth T20I against Australia in Bengaluru. Former Australian opener Matthew Hayden was in the commentary box and was clearly dissatisfied with several of the on-field umpires’ decisions.
Arshdeep bowled a bouncer to Matthew Wade, who was irritated that it wasn’t called a wide with 10 runs needed off the last over. Replays revealed that the ball had passed over Wade’s helmet, and Hayden understood why the batter reacted so emotionally.

Nathan Ellis drove the ball straight towards the non-striker’s end on the last delivery of the over, and it hit the umpire’s right leg after receiving a deflection off Arshdeep Singh’s right hand. Matthew Hayden made another nasty remark about the umpires collaborating with India to secure their victory. He went on to say:
“The umpire has done his job for the second time this over. Have a look at this. This time, it’s the one in front, not on square. They are tag-teaming here.”

Arshdeep Singh spoke out to Jio Cinema after the game about his feelings after giving only three runs in his final over. Arshdeep had let up 37 runs in his first three overs and admitted that he thought he had cost the Men in Blue the game.
In response, he stated:
“I guess, for the big part of the game, for almost 19 overs, I was thinking that I gave away too many runs, and I’d be the culprit of the game. But God gave me another chance and I believed in myself and thanks to God that I defended it and thanks to the staff as well, who believed in.”
