at a video uploaded on Instagram, Indian all-rounder Hardik Pandya was seen working out at his home gym. At the start of the video, Hardik was seen having some fun with his dogs and son Agastya.
Hardik was also observed lifting weights and striving to strengthen both his upper and lower bodies. He appeared to be focused on getting better and to be in good spirits.
Here’s the video:
Hardik Pandya’s return date still unclear
Hardik Pandya hasn’t participated in any contesting cricket games since an ankle injury during the 2023 World Cup match versus Bangladesh. Attempting to prevent the ball from slipping by, Pandya staggered while extending his foot and tumbled clumsily on his ankle.
Hardik was sadly disqualified, even though the team management made an effort to get him back for the last stretch of the competition. In the final, India really missed his big-match mentality.
Looking forward, the Men in Blue must gear up for the T20 World Cup this June. Their gaze rests on the powerhouse, Hardik Pandya. He’s been heading the T20I team for a stretch and reports buzz about him reprising his role as captain for the Afghanistan T20I series.
It seems uncertain that Suryakumar Yadav would play in the Afghanistan T20Is after rolling over his ankle in South Africa. India knows they can’t afford to bring Hardik back too soon just to lose him again for an extended injury layoff.
It would be intriguing to watch if Hardik returns to captain India or goes straight to the IPL 2024 as the newly chosen captain of the Mumbai Indians, with less than a week till the Afghanistan series kicks off.
