Hardik Pandya is making his way to the top of the ICC Men’s T20I All-rounder Rankings, thanks to his strong performance in the recent India-New Zealand series. He achieved this by surpassing Mohammad Nabi to the second spot. In the final match at Ahmedabad, Pandya opened the bowling for the team and claimed a four-wicket haul, helping India to defeat the Blackcaps. Additionally, he scored 30 runs off 17 balls and took 4/16 from four overs.
Since taking over the captaincy of the Indian team after the 2022 T20 World Cup, Pandya has gained 250 all-rounder ranking points, only two points below the leader, Bangladesh’s Shakib Al Hasan.
Arshdeep Singh regained his form in the first T20I against New Zealand, resulting in an eight-place jump in the T20I Bowling Rankings to thirteenth. He finished the series with five wickets, including 2/16 in the deciding match.
However, no Indian was able to secure a spot in the top 10 of the bowling rankings, with Rashid Khan at the top (698) and Wanindu Hasaranga (695) and Adil Rashid (692) following.
Shubman Gill achieved impressive progress in batting, rising 168 spots from outside the top 100 in the T20I Batting Rankings to being tied for thirtieth after only playing six T20Is.
Suryakumar Yadav is the highest-ranking Indian batsman, being placed first with 906 points, followed by Mohammad Rizwan with 836 and Babar Azam with 778. Jos Buttler, the captain of England, has gone up six ranks to be at 20th place, while Jofra Archer jumped 13 places to 22nd in the ODI Bowling Rankings after his performance of 6/40 in 9.1 overs in the third ODI against South Africa.
