Former Indian spinner Harbhajan Singh recently discussed the possibility of Rohit Sharma quitting the Mumbai Indians (MI) and joining the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the future.
Rohit Sharma was dismissed as MI’s captain ahead of the forthcoming Indian Premier League (IPL 2024). He was replaced by Hardik Pandya, who had returned to the squad following a two-year stay with the Gujarat Titans.
In an interview with News 24, former MI and CSK player Ambati Rayudu voiced his wish to see Sharma play for the Chennai-based team. While there is a chance that may happen, given that there will be a huge auction following the upcoming season, Harbhajan believes otherwise.
The 43-year-old discussed the mega auction’s uncertainty with Hindustan Times. He spoke about its unpredictable nature:
Rohit Sharma holds a remarkable record as a captain in this tournament. He guided Mumbai to five championship wins during his leadership tenure. This achievement places him among the most successful skippers in the event’s history.
