Harbhajan Singh the esteemed former Indian offspinner personally lauds the substantial impact Rishabh Pant has made at No. 3 deeming it a major positive for the Men in Blue heading into the crucial Super 8 phase of the T20 World Cup. Noteworthy for his resilience Pant contributed a pivotal 96 runs across his three innings navigating tough batting conditions in New York.

Harbhajan Singh provided light on Sanju Samson’s great IPL 2024 season and how many analysts predicted that he would wear the gloves rather than Pant. He did, however, compliment the team’s management for maximizing the swashbuckling left-hander’s potential.

Harbhajan Singh stated this on Star Sports:

“Rishabh Pant’s role was completely changed when he was asked to bat at No. 3. We all were saying Sanju Samson would play (as wicketkeeper) before this World Cup because he had scored a lot of runs. But the Pant experiment working at No. 3 is a big positive. The left-right combination works well when Rishabh Pant plays at No. 3.”
