Prior to the 2023 ODI World Cup Final against India, Australian captain Pat Cummins famously stated that he would like to quiet a throng of 120,000 supporters in Ahmedabad. He kept his word when the Aussies defeated the Men in Blue at home, and supporters have since dubbed him the guy who silences home fans.

Royal Challengers Bengaluru defeated the Gujarat Titans by nine wickets last evening in the IPL 2024. They reached the 201-run mark with 24 balls to spare. RCB all-rounder Glenn Maxwell was set to bat next, but Will Jacks and Virat Kohli clinched the victory for the visitors with an unbroken 166-run stand.

CSK avenged their previous loss to SRH with a 78-run win at the MA Chidambaram Stadium. Pat Cummins captains the franchise located in Hyderabad. To give it back to the Australians, spectators at the MA Chidambaram Stadium held their fingers on their lips, gently instructing Cummins and his teammates to keep silent.
