Chris Gayle, a West Indian cricket great, was recently put in a difficult position when asked to pick his favorite batting partner between Virat Kohli, former RCB skipper, and AB de Villiers, South African superstar. Having shared many prolific partnerships with the two legends, Gayle found the query hard to answer in an interview with Jio Cinema. But, eventually, he chose Virat Kohli over ABD, much to the delight of countless fans worldwide. He said:

Chris Gayle and Virat Kohli formed a formidable partnership in the 2012 season when they put together an unbeaten 204 – the fifth-highest of all-time. In their time together at bat, they have amassed 2,787 runs, second only to the Virat Kohli-AB de Villiers duo. Throughout his tenure from 2011 to 2017 for RCB, Gayle scored five centuries and amassed over 3,000 runs, winning the Orange Cap twice in 2011 and 2012 and reaching two IPL finals in 2011 and 2016.
