Mitchell Marsh, an Australian all-rounder, sparked outrage on social media after a photo of him putting his feet on the 2023 World Cup trophy went viral. It took place on November 19, following the final versus India in Ahmedabad.
Reports reveal that an FIR is on record against Mitchell Marsh due to his behavior. The objection was raised by Keshav Pandit, an RTI activist, in Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh, because Marsh upset the emotions of Indian cricket supporters.
In addition, Pandit has sent a duplicate of this objection to the PM, Narendra Modi. His aim is to bar Marsh from participating in cricket matches within India.
Australia defeated India in the 2023 World Cup final in Ahmedabad’s Narendra Modi Stadium. With six wickets in hand, they successfully chased down a 241-run mark. They won their sixth ODI World Cup with a convincing victory over Rohit Sharma and company.
Mitchell Marsh struggled to make an impression with the bat in the top battle, scoring only 15 runs off 15 deliveries. Travis Head’s 137-run outing propelled his squad to victory.
Mohammed Shami expresses his pain over Mitchell Marsh’s disrespectful pose with 2023 World Cup trophy
Team India sprinter Mohammed Shami recently expressed his anger with Mitchell Marsh’s continued possession of the World Cup trophy.
Shami expressed his displeasure at seeing the Australian bowler resting his feet on a trophy that many desire to win and keep on their heads. In an interview with reporters, he stated:
Mohammed Shami put in outstanding performances at the 2023 World Cup. The experienced seamer finished as the edition’s best wicket-taker, with 24 wickets in just seven innings. He took three fifers, including a sensational seven-wicket haul against New Zealand in the semi-final.
