Yuzvendra Chahal, the leg spinner from Rajasthan Royals, had a bad day on field. During the IPL match against SunRisers Hyderabad on Thursday, his ball was hit to every part of ground. This poor play comes right after he made it to India’s squad for 2024 T20 World Cup.
It was Yuzvendra Chahal’s 300th T20 match. RR brought him on in the 7th over after a great powerplay bowling effort kept SRH to just 37 runs. With the run rate low, SunRisers were keen to score quickly.
Yuzvendra Chahal really started his tenure with a tight over, allowing only seven runs. He had even started his second over on a high note, but his enthusiasm was dashed when Travis Head struck three straight boundaries, including two sixes, to end the over.
To make matters worse, Yuzvendra Chahal allowed 21 runs in his third over, worsening his numbers. After three overs of bowling, he conceded 46 runs on a slow track and was the most costly bowler by a significant margin.
He was not spared in his final over, either, as Heinrich Klaasen welcomed him with two sixes. Chahal ultimately recovered, but conceded 62 runs in his four overs.
Fans were dissatisfied with the bowling spectacle and expressed fear that similar performances might be served up at the T20 World Cup in national colors.

The leg-spin bowler started this year well, taking ten players out in the first five games. But his play in the latest part was not good for his team and for his country.
He surrendered 54 runs in RR’s high-scoring victory over Kolkata Knight Riders at Eden Gardens. In his most recent two outings against the Mumbai Indians and the Lucknow Super Giants, he conceded 48 and 41 runs.
