Travis Head didnt meet expectations for Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) facing Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in Qualifier 1 of the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad this Tuesday. He was out for a twoball duck dismissed by the Knight Riders pace spearhead and his Australian mate Mitchell Starc.
The dismissal occurred on the second ball of the Sunrisers’ innings. Starc bowled a full-length ball with a slight late outward movement around off. It slammed into the stumps.
Travis Head had earlier scored a golden duck against Punjab Kings (PBKS) in their last league encounter. However, the left-hander is SRH’s highest run-scorer in IPL 2024, with 533 runs in 13 innings, including one century and four 50s.

Mitchell Starc and Vaibhav Arora had disciplined bowling performances, allowing KKR to knock in-form SRH openers Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma cheaply on Tuesday. Abhishek departed for three runs off four balls, caught by Andre Russell at cover.
The Sunrisers were 38/2 after 4.2 overs, with Rahul Tripathi and Nitish Reddy at the crease.
The team that emerges victorious between Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) secures a spot in the IPL 2024 final. Conversely the defeated team will face Qualifier 2 against the winner of Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) and Rajasthan Royals (RR). RCB and RR will lock horns in Eliminator 2 on Wednesday.
The table topping Knight Riders racked up a total of 20 points despite the cancellations of their last two league fixtures against Gujarat Titans (GT) and Rajasthan attributed to inclement weather. Meanwhile the Sunrisers secured the runnerup spot with a notable 17 points.
