Rohit Sharma could not score well for the Mumbai Indians team. They played against Sunrisers Hyderabad in an IPL 2024 match. The match took place at Wankhede stadium on Monday, May 6th. Rohit is an experienced player. But he only got four runs from five balls. Pat Cummins bowled to him. Heinrich Klaasen caught Rohit out behind the wickets.
The dismissal occurred in the fourth over of MI’s chase. Pat Cummins produced a length ball across the middle, and Rohit attempted to lift it up off his hips and flick it out behind square. The right-hander just got a touch through his shot, and the ball flew straight up into the air off the leading edge. Klaasen called for it early and made a straightforward catch. As a result, the hosts dropped both openers quickly.
Rohit has failed to produce in his past five innings, scoring 6, 8, 4, 11, and 4 (today) in the IPL. He has 330 runs in 12 matches, including a century against the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) this season. The 37-year-old will aim to regain form in Mumbai’s final two league games before the 2024 T20 World Cup.
