Shubman Gill was outstanding after being given the first bat. He had tremendous hitting abilities, demonstrating why he is perhaps one of the best T20 batsmen on the Indian circuit today. Shubman Gill created a solid platform to make it three wins in a row at Ahmedabad after leading the team to victories in both of their home matches this year.

Gujarat Titans suffered an early setback as opener Wriddhiman Saha was removed in only the third over. Kane Williamson returned to the team for the first time since GT’s IPL 2023 campaign began. He then joined Gill, and the two top-order bats carried the game forward.

Shubman Gill was on the back foot in his second and third-wicket partnerships with Williamson and Sai Sudharsan. Gill took command in the second part of the innings, scoring a significant portion of the runs to lead his team to a magnificent 199/4.
