Faf du Plessis, Joburg Super Kings’ leader, signed Chennai Super Kings (CSK) jerseys. He also posed for photos during their match with Durban Super Giants. This happened on Monday, January 15.

Participating in 92 games for CSK, Du Plessis amassed 2721 runs with a strike rate of 131.45, achieving 20 scores over 50. This skillful batsman secured IPL victories for Super Kings in 2018 and 2021. He has also played together with MS Dhoni at the now-defunct Rising Pune Supergiant. He is leading the Royal Challengers Bangalore since 2022.
Moving to the SA20, Joburg Super Kings suffered back-to-back defeats. They lost to MI Cape Town and Durban Super Giants by whopping margins of 98 and 37 runs respectively. Ironically, this followed Joburg’s first match. It was against the stalwart defending champions, Sunrisers Eastern Cape. Sadly, it was cancelled because of rain.
