A video showed match official Javagal Srinath flipping the coin after the toss in an IPL match. It went viral and caused issues. The match was between Mumbai Indians and Royal Challengers Bangalore at Wankhede Stadium.
While many followers were critical of the situation, some believed the video was false and refused to believe it. To add gasoline to the fire, RCB captain Faf Du Plessis was spotted explaining the entire issue to SunRisers Hyderabad (SRH) captain Pat Cummins prior to the toss.
Faf Du Plessis was seen recreating the graphics from his team’s coin toss versus MI, telling Cummins how the match referee flipped the coin after scooping it up off the floor.
Cummins’ facial expressions plainly indicated that he was stunned, while the RCB captain’s actions brought clarity to the situation, leading everyone to assume that the footage from the MI versus RCB match was all but accurate.

RCB look to overcome their misery at IPL 2024
The Faf du Plessis-led team has been struggling in the current IPL 2024. RCB has only won one game this season and has suffered defeats in five of them. As a result, they now hold the wooden spoon in the standings, with only two points from six matches.
Bengaluru made some key alterations to their playing XI for the SRH match, with Glenn Maxwell and Mohammed Siraj departing. Siraj was nominated to the list of impact replacements, but with RCB bowling first, the Indian pacer’s prospects of becoming an Impact Player are slim.
Losses in any of the remaining games will practically eliminate RCB’s hopes of making the playoffs. While it is unlikely for them to break into the top four from here, the Bengaluru-based club will be looking for encouraging outcomes in the remaining fixtures.
