Dwayne Bravo is not only a MI Cape Town player, but also the bowling coach for the IPL team Chennai Super Kings (CSK).
Ishan Kishan, notably, has recently made headlines for not securing a central contract from India’s Cricket Control Board (BCCI). The southpaw is eager to demonstrate his batting prowess in the forthcoming IPL season to maintain his candidacy for a spot in India’s team for the 2024 T20 World Cup. This prestigious event is set to unfold in the United States of America and the West Indies come June.
Lucknow Super Giants name Nicholas Pooran as their new vice-captain for IPL 2024
Nicholas Pooran was been named vice-captain of the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) for the IPL 2024 season. The West Indies player took over from Krunal Pandya, KL Rahul’s deputy.
Pooran, who was retained by LSG for INR 16 crore, scored 358 runs in 15 matches at a strike rate of 172.94, including two half-centuries previous season.
In case you weren’t aware, KL Rahul faced an injury causing him to miss the latter part of IPL 2023. This wicketkeeper-batter went through a triumphant thigh operation and resumed competitive cricket. However, he endured another setback recently, as he got injured during the initial Test match against England in Hyderabad.
According to rumors, KL Rahul is now in London, UK, to see a specialist for tightness in his right quadriceps.
The Lucknow-based franchise will kick off their IPL 2024 campaign against the Rajasthan Royals (RR) on March 24 in Jaipur.
