Rajasthan Royals’ cricketer Dhruv Jurel scored a half-century against Lucknow Super Giants. His father Nem Chand witnessed the IPL 2024 match at the Ekana Stadium on April 27. Jurel dedicated his impressive batting performance to his proud father.
Dhruv Jurel reached his half-century in just 31 balls, and he saluted his father at the historic time. Dhruv’s father is an Indian Army retiree who served in the Kargil War. The boy has been rather open about his’salute’ celebration for his father.

Dhruv Jurel reflects on his 52*(34)
RR were 78/3 in their chase of 196 to win when Dhruv Jurel stepped to the crease to partner skipper Sanju Samson. The Royals appeared to be in for a difficult chase at that point. However, Jurel and Samson eventually absorbed the pressure and began to shift the momentum in the visitors’ favor.
Following the game, Jurel spoke with the host broadcaster about his knock.
Jurel had only scored 50 runs in the eight innings before to the game against LSG this season and did not have many possibilities to make an impact. However, his 52* against Lucknow will boost both him and the Royals’ confidence going forward.
