Head scored 43 while opening twice in first-class cricket for Worcestershire in 2018, and Australia’s coach Andrew McDonald stated that he would be fit for the subcontinent but not for all conditions.
Captain Pat Cummins left the team shortly after the Delhi Test for personal reasons but is likely to be back in the squad for the Indore match, though the situation is still subject to change.
