In addition, the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad is expected to host the league’s Qualifier 1 and Eliminator matches. Apart from the final, the Chepauk is set to host the Qualifier 2.
Defending Champions Kick off IPL 2024 Campaign with Dominant Victory
Meanwhile, the Super Kings began their 2024 campaign with a solid six-wicket win against Royal Challengers Bengaluru in Chennai.
After deciding to bat first, the Royal Challengers scored a solid 173 thanks to some pyrotechnics from Dinesh Karthik and Anuj Rawat.
The Super Kings got off to a fantastic start in their chase, with newcomer Rachin Ravindra scoring 37 off 15 balls, including three sixes. Captain Ruturaj Gaikwad, Daryl Mitchell, and Ajinkya Rahane also made some spectacular shots.
