Ben Stokes, the captain of the England Test team, provided an update on his knee surgery on Friday, December 8. In an image posted on his Instagram story, the well-known all-round player stated that he is doing well. He had bruises and stitches on his knees in the picture.

Unaware folks might not know, Stokes decided to pass on the Indian Premier League 2024 season. He aimed to balance his workload better. However, he’s slated for the five-match Test series in India as well as the 2024 T20 World Cup. That’s set to unfold in the USA and West Indies.
A statement released by the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) said as follows:
“The Chennai Super Kings management is supportive of Ben in his decision to manage his workload with England playing a 5-Test series in India before the IPL and then the T20 World Cup in June 2024.”
When Stokes was last saw playing, he had amassed 304 runs in six games, including two half-centuries, during the 2023 World Cup. He came out of retirement for the historic ICC tournament, but as the reigning champions, England fell short. The team captained by Jos Buttler qualified for the 2025 Champions Trophy by placing seventh in the World Cup points table.
