Delhi playeÂr Axar Patel stopped dangerous Ishan with a great catch on his bowling followthrough in the IPL match against Mumbai on April 7. Ishan hit big six from Axar’s ball. But he tried to hit next short ball hard. Axar caught it with one hand.
Ishan Kishan got quick 42 runs from just 22 balls. He pulled Axar’s first ball in 11th over for huge six. But he tried to hit hard again. The ball was short and wideÂ. Axar caught it with one hand while following through after bowling.
However, Axar Patel calmly stretched his left hand and executed an unbelievable one-handed grab, much to Kishan’s surprise.
Here’s a video of Axar’s incredible effort after surrendering a six on the previous delivery:
Ishan Kishan was in top form during his visit, blasting four boundaries and two maximums. The wicketkeeper-batsman and former skipper Rohit Sharma combined for 80 off 42 deliveries to help MI get off to a strong start.
Despite falling eight short of his half-century, Kishan led MI to a strong position of 111/3 in the eleventh over.
Axar Patel takes another sharp catch to dismiss Tilak Varma
Axar Patel’s evening at the Wankhede Stadium continued to improve as the left-arm spinner dismissed Tilak Varma with another superb chance at the backward point.
After dismissing Rohit Sharma and Ishan Kishan, the 30-year-old collected his second catch of the game. Khaleel Ahmed delivered the pitch short and wide outside off-stump, but Tilak used firm hands on the cut stroke, finding the fielder at backward point.
The expulsion put MI four down with 121 on the board in the 13th over a batting masterpiece.
Both clubs are eager for a win to save their collapsing 2024 IPL campaigns. While DC has lost three of their four games thus far, MI is the competition’s only winless team, having lost all three.
Following Tilak’s tragic departure, Hardik Pandya and Tim David steadied the MI ship for half a century. With two overs remaining, MI are on track to score a daunting total.
