Rajasthan Royals bowler Avesh Khan got a key out on the first ball he bowled. He dismissed Abhishek Sharma in the match against SunRisers Hyderabad in the 2024 IPL. The hard-hitting left-handed batter was out after scoring 12 runs from 10 balls at the Rajiv Gandhi Stadium on Thursday.
The SRH openers were unable to break free as usual, as the RR bowlers were effective with the new ball. To control Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma, the visitors decided to use speed and spin from one end apiece. SRH could only score 25 runs off the first four overs, so Samson put Avesh Khan into the assault.
Abhishek Sharma wanted to take on the new bowler right immediately. The left-handed batsman hit a draw shot off a short delivery that was caught by Dhruv Jurel at deep square leg. Avesh Khan grinned at the possibility of taking a wicket with his first ball of the spell.

Avesh Khan allowed 10 runs in his first over after Travis Head and Anmolpreet Singh both scored boundaries in an attempt to salvage something from the powerplay period.
Avesh Khan Continues Streak, Claims Wicket in Sixth Consecutive IPL 2024 Match
The right-arm pacer was just named a traveling reserve in Team India’s 2024 T20 World Cup roster. His 2024 IPL heroics have played a significant influence, as he has integrated well with the team since joining from the Lucknow Super Giants.
With his first-ball wicket against SRH, Avesh Khan has now taken at least one wicket in each of his past six games. He has only gone wicketless in two matches and has formed a superb pace trio for RR alongside Trent Boult and Sandeep Sharma.
RR are far ahead after being placed into the bowl first by SRH captain Pat Cummins. The league leaders limited the powerful SRH top order to only 37 runs on the power play. Sandep Sharma, his fast bowling partner, dismissed Anmolpreet Singh with his first ball, much like Avesh Khan.
