Virat Kohli was commended by veteran Team India off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin for the intention he shown during his return to the T20I squad during the just finished series against Afghanistan. Ashwin claimed that it was amazing to witness his aggressive style both in the field and with the bat.
T20I comebacks were awarded to Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli for the series against Afghanistan. The former player was absent from the first game in Indore for personal reasons, but he made a fast fire 29 off 16 in the second game. Despite being removed without a run in Bengaluru, he was outstanding in the field, blocking what appeared to be a definite six with a spectacular jump close to the boundary.
Speaking on his YouTube program, Ashwin expressed his opinion that Kohli’s performance against Afghanistan in the series demonstrated his readiness for the 2024 T20 World Cup.
Before he mishandled an attempted big smash from Naveen-ul-Haq’s bowling in the second Twenty20 International, Kohli was looking quite sharp.
Rohit Sharma supported Virat Kohli despite his first-ball dismissal in the 3rd T20I
In Bengaluru’s third Twenty20 International, Kohli was dismissed without scoring. He attempted to rip off a delivery from Fareed Ahmad, but he mistimed the ball and let an easy catch. Rohit, the captain, supported the senior batter’s stroke decision despite being removed early.
In the third Twenty20 International, India was struggling at 22/4, but Rohit Sharma (121*) and Rinku Singh (69*) rallied the hosts to 212/4. Afghanistan put up a valiant fight to square the match, but the Men in Blue prevailed in the second Super Over to seal the deal.
