Akshay Kumar, a Bollywood actor, demonstrated his bowling abilities at the Indian Street Premier League (ISPL) 2024 exhibition match between his Khiladi XI and Sachin Tendulkar’s Master 11. He grabbed two wickets, but his side lost by five runs.
Tendulkar’s Master 11 batted first in the star-studded exhibition match on Wednesday, March 6, at Thane’s Dadoji Kondadev Stadium, scoring 95/7 in 10 overs in the tennis ball competition. Sachin Tendulkar scored the most with 30 off 17, followed by Yusuf Pathan with 21 off 10.
For Khiladi XI, Akshay Kumar took two wickets. He dismissed Rishabh Chavan for two with a short delivery, which the left-handed hitter miscued while trying a pull shot. Buoyed by his success, the Bollywood star tried another short delivery and was rewarded with the wicket of Elvish Yadav (1) in the same over. The hitter failed to manage his pull stroke, resulting in a routine catch.
In the Indian Street Premier League 2024 encounter, Khiladi XI were kept to 89/6 in 10 overs while chasing a target of 96, and Master 11 won by five runs.
Naman Ojha was removed for a first-ball duck in the chase, while Robin Uthappa got out for two. Akshay Kumar too went down for seven runs. Munawar Faruqui, the Bigg Boss winner who had previously stolen Tendulkar’s wicket, also excelled with the bat, hitting 26 runs per ball.
