Aakash Chopra pointed out that SunRisers Hyderabad’s opening batters, Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma, have consistently provided strong starts in IPL 2024. Head missed the first game against Kolkata Knight Riders, but he has opened for SRH since joining the team in their second match of the season. Both batters have frequently scored runs quickly at the start of the innings.
Former cricketer Aakash Chopra spoke about the SunRisers Hyderabad (SRH) team’s opening batsmen. He said Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma have been giving quick starts in many matches this IPL season. Head did not play in SRH’s first match against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR). But he has opened the batting for SRH since their second game.
In a YouTube video, Chopra identified Head and Abhishek as the first two SunRisers Hyderabad players to keep an eye on in Wednesday’s encounter.
“If this team has to win, Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma need to play for long and explosively because they do two things. One is they score runs and secondly, they attack you hard mentally. It just demotivates you the way they start. They start like a bullet train.”

The former India opener remarked that Head has demonstrated several aspects of his game in IPL 2024.
“Travis Head needs to be talked about first because he is in that kind of form. We have seen him playing differently a few times. He played slightly cautiously in the last match at home against Rajasthan because the pitch was like that. He started scratchily in the last match as well but eventually got close to his fifty.”

While recognizing that Abhishek fell short in SRH’s previous game, Chopra believes the Indian teenager will produce against LSG.
“Travis Head will once again be my guy in focus because you expect runs from him. When the business end of the tournament has come, Hyderabad is entrusted to you. The second player I am picking is Abhishek Sharma. He has batted well. He didn’t score runs in the last match. I expect him to play well.”

Travis Head scored many runs for SRH team. He hit 444 runs in 10 innings. His strike rate was 189.74. Abhishek also played well for SRH. He got 326 runs in 11 innings. Abhishek’s strike rate was 195.20. Head scored the most runs for SRH. Abhishek is the third highest run-scorer.

Aakash Chopra selected Pat Cummins as the third important SunRisers Hyderabad player against Lucknow Super Giants. He said that the Australian captain for Tests and ODIs has shown that Chopra’s doubts about him before the tournament were wrong.
“The third, I am going with Pat Cummins. He is captaining well, even batting well now, and bowling in the right areas. When he was selected as a captain, I felt what were they doing as they were spending so much money and his IPL numbers were not great. However, I stand corrected.”
